CelcomDigi Berhad has reaffirmed its commitment to developing Malaysia's new digital network by enhancing collaborations with its infrastructure partners.
These strategic partnerships are crucial for delivering a modern, high-performance network that supports rapid rollout, extensive coverage, and innovation to meet the country’s growing digital needs.
The company has renewed its agreements with EDOTCO Group Sdn. Bhd., EdgePoint Infrastructure Sdn. Bhd., D’Harmoni Telco Infra Sdn. Bhd., and PDC Telecommunication Services Sdn. Bhd., adjusting key terms to future-proof its infrastructure as part of its nationwide network integration and modernization efforts.

Next-Gen Digital Connectivity
With the support of Malaysia's four tower companies, CelcomDigi is accelerating its network deployment, extending coverage from urban landmarks like the Tun Razak Exchange and Merdeka 118 to remote areas in Sabah and Sarawak. As data demand increases, the company is also exploring next-gen digital connectivity solutions, including street furniture and in-building technologies, to further enhance network capabilities and contribute to Malaysia’s digital economy ambitions.
Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Idham Nawawi, emphasized that strengthening long-term partnerships with tower companies is essential for building a robust network infrastructure. He noted that by working with trusted partners who have proven capabilities and extensive reach, CelcomDigi is ensuring the rapid deployment of sites to complete the country's largest network integration and modernization effort, ultimately providing excellent service to customers across a wider national coverage.

CelcomDigi's collaboration with tower companies has played a crucial role in advancing its network integration and modernization efforts. As of October 2024, nearly 70% of the nationwide project is complete, with over 10,500 sites upgraded.
More than 65% of customers are already experiencing enhanced service quality on the new CelcomDigi intelligent network. The company is on track to exceed its goal, aiming to complete 75% of the network upgrades by the end of 2024.
