Zong 4G has announced that the company has successfully expanded its network by adding over 400 new 4G sites in the first half of 2024. This expansion has solidified Zong 4G as the second-largest data network in Pakistan.

This effort showcases the company's dedication to providing reliable and widespread connectivity. With 49 million customers currently being served, Zong 4G aims to make data access available to everyone in Pakistan.

In addition to expanding its network, Zong 4G has completed a large network modernization project to address capacity issues. The company upgraded from 2T2R technology to advanced 8T8R, focusing on improving the customer experience for remote projects along the CPEC route.

To ensure network sustainability, Zong 4G also completed over 1,400 power upgrades in the first half of 2024 using Li-Ion solutions, which are known for their fast-charging capability and longer lifespan compared to traditional battery banks.

Senior management from Huawei and ZTE joined Zong 4G in celebrating these achievements and pledged their ongoing support for future projects. Zong 4G's leadership praised the hard work of their engineering and commercial teams in achieving these goals.
