U Mobile and FGV Prodata Systems Sdn. Bhd., (FGV) a subsidiary of FGV Holdings Berhad, have announced a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) aimed atwhich aims to harnessing U Mobile’s 5G-capable network and solutions to further enhance FGV Group’s connectivity and digital infrastructure as part of its business transformation goals.

Under this partnership, U Mobile’s modern, scalable, and 5G-ready infrastructure will support advanced enterprise solutions such as managed network services for FGV Group’s diverse operations, , spanning branches, plantations, factories, mills, bulking stations, and headquarters.

The MoC also entails joint efforts in developing and deploying innovative digital platforms like in the segments of smart agriculture, smart building, and smart surveillance, aimed at boosting automation and digitalization benefits such as improved efficiencies and cost savings across FGV Group and its stakeholders.

Additionally, both parties have committed to providing training programs to enhance the skills of their employees and partners in the wake of the presence of new technologies and digital tools, thus, ensuring they fullymaximum leverage of the potential of the outlined digital transformation initiatives.

Norfazidah Abu Bakar, Chief Corporate Services Officer of U Mobile, expressed U Mobile's commitment to supporting FGV Prodata in harnessing 5G technology for digital transformation across FGV Group and its customer base.

She highlighted U Mobile's enthusiasm in utilizing its modern 5G-capable network and solutions to tailor digital enterprise connectivity for the benefit of FGV Group and its stakeholders.

Dato Nazrul Mansor, Group Chief Executive Officer of FGV, emphasized that by leveraging U Mobile's advanced, scalable, and 5G-ready network infrastructure, FGV aims to enhance its ICT services with high-speed internet, reliable network solutions, and improved communication channels. He highlighted that the partnership will prioritize the development and management of state-of-the-art digital infrastructure, which is crucial for supporting FGV's business digital transformation initiatives. This strategic approach will enable FGV to maintain its leadership in the global palm oil industry while positively contributing to Malaysia's economic and social development goals.

Bakar and Fakrunniam Othman, Group Divisional Director of the Logistics and Support Division at FGV Holdings Berhad, signed the MoC during Hari Peneroka FELDA 2024. The signing was witnessed by Wong Heang Tuck, CEO of U Mobile, and Nor Marhamah Yahya, General Counsel of Group Legal at FGV Holdings Berhad.
