Tata’s Vinod Kumar has recently stepped down from his position as Managing Director and Group CEO, citing personal reasons for leaving the firm.

“Vinod Kumar has submitted his resignation as the managing director and group CEO of the company, and as a director of the company and its associated companies for personal reasons,” the company said.

Tata Communications further announced that “The board has initiated steps to identify his successor and expects to finalise a suitable candidate at the earliest.”

Kumar had joined the company, formerly known as VSNL, back in 2004 when it first began to expand its international operations.

He has since been appointed as the new CEO of Vodafone Business which will be effective 2nd of September 2019.
