NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), operating under the enterprise business brand, docomo business, within the DOCOMO group, announced today that its Thai group company, Mobile Innovation Co., Ltd. (MI), will start selling the LINKEETH web-enabled dashcam service in Thailand from today.

Thailand is ranked 9th globally in terms of traffic accident fatalities per 100,000 people. Many accidents result in severe injuries, leading to economic losses and rising healthcare costs. Drunk driving and speeding are common causes of traffic accidents. While efforts to address these issues are ongoing, more progress is needed.

The LINKEETH service manages vehicle operations using location information and analyzes driving data to promote safe driving. The goal is to reduce the number of traffic accidents in Thailand. The key features include Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a Driver Monitoring System (DMS) powered by AI to monitor driving conditions and alert drivers to risky behaviors.

The service also visualizes driving conditions by analyzing data such as acceleration, braking, steering, and speed, offering feedback to improve driving habits. In case of dangerous driving or accidents, it features accident detection and automatic video transmission to the cloud.

Additionally, the service enables real-time vehicle location management, displaying vehicles on a map whilst also tracking driving history. Its spatiotemporal searching function helps locate vehicles in emergency situations based on specific date, time, and area parameters.

NTT Com and MI plan to expand the service to Indonesia and analyze the needs of other countries in the future. Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Leasing & Service (Thailand) Co., Ltd. will be the first partner to use the service to provide a new auto leasing service in Thailand.
