Crayon, a leading global IT services and innovation company, has announced the launch of its Backup as a Service solution for channel partners in the APAC region. This new service is designed to securely backup critical Microsoft 365 platform data and help partners enhance their service offerings by providing a cost-effective solution to prevent data loss and ensure operational continuity.

Channel Commercial Director for APAC at Crayon, Joel Ramirez, stated, “We are committed to creating value for our partners by offering solutions that complement their existing offerings and provide a healthy margin. We noticed a gap in the market for Microsoft backup solutions that are affordable for smaller businesses and not overly complex for larger businesses. Our new service aims to fill that gap and provide our partners with a solution that meets their needs.”

Crayon’s Cloud Backup as a Service is tailored to meet the requirements of businesses ranging from 50 to 5,000 seats using O365/M365 licenses. It offers robust protection for the entire M365 suite, including SharePoint, OneNote, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online and more.

The launch of this new service is timely, as there are new data privacy and protection regulations being introduced in the region. This has led to increased demand in the small to medium-sized business (SMB) sector, with 54% of SMBs in APAC planning to adopt cloud solutions for backup and recovery in the next 24 months. Additionally, 88% of SMBs will increase their budgets for third-party service providers to support their cloud adoption and business continuity goals.

Crayon's Cloud Backup as a Service offers a superior solution to the challenges of cloud data backup. It provides effective protection against data loss while reducing the financial burden associated with such incidents. The service follows the globally endorsed 3-2-1 backup rule, ensuring data integrity and quick recovery.
