HCLTech has officially launched a Singapore-based AI Cloud-Native Lab. Scheduled to open next year, the lab will mark the company’s fifth in its global network, joining existing labs in the U.S., UK, Germany, and India. Similar to its counterparts, the Singapore-based lab aims to advance AI adoption across various verticals.
In partnership with Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB), HCLTech’s latest initiative aims to make AI solutions more accessible through its comprehensive suite of integrated offerings, including AI Force and AI Foundry.

Cultivating AI Talent and Adoption
To cultivate a skilled talent pipeline in the AI sector, the lab in Singapore will also partner with tertiary education institutions, Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP), to nurture next-generation AI professionals.
The launch was attended by guest of honor, Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of Digital Development and Information. He was joined by H.E. Dr Shilpak Ambule, High Commissioner of India to Singapore and Chan Ih-Ming, EVP of Economic Development Board, as well as senior academic members from Nanyang Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic.
In her address, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson, HCLTech, highlighted the company’s commitment to advancing AI adoption in alignment with Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0, and building a trusted and responsible AI ecosystem.
“Our Labs are a conducive starting point for enterprises that want to embark on a collaborative journey to develop blueprints for AI and GenAI-led efficiencies, new business capabilities, skilling roadmaps and overall organizational competitive advantage with a pragmatic approach,” said Vijay Guntur, Chief Technology Officer, and Head of Ecosystems, HCLTech.
HCLTech has been operating in Singapore for over four decades. Last year, the company commemorated 43 years of operations in the city-state with the launch of a year-long campaign themed ‘Tech + Community.’
