Enhanced Autonomous Robot Accuracy

SKT has programmed autonomous robots to perform tasks using the Telco Edge AI infrastructure at its headquarters. The advanced AI technology processes information received by the robots as they navigate the complex interior using sensors like cameras and IMUs. This has helped to verify robot technology and ultra-precision positioning technology.

The Telco Edge AI infrastructure from SKT is playing a crucial role in enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of autonomous robots, improving service performance.

This infrastructure can reduce the computational load on the cloud through edge computing, enabling real-time AI inference and enhancing the value of mobile networks.

Ryu Tak-ki, Head of the Infrastructure Technology Division at SKT, stated that this demonstration has laid the groundwork for applying Telco Edge AI-based security technology and low-latency services across various industries.

SKT aims to lead the development of 6G AI wired and wireless infrastructure by combining communications and AI to create new value through technology development, global standardization, and collaboration.
