Rakuten Mobile, Inc., a leading telco in Japan, has announced that it has surpassed 5 million subscribers since its launch in April 2020.

The company has been consistent with its commitment to democratizing the mobile industry in Japan by offering affordable and simple service plans. Rakuten has also been continuously expanding its network area by developing base stations and roaming agreements.

Rakuten boasts a range of services catering to diverse subscribers, including the Rakuten Mobile Business Plan, an easy-to-use mobile service plan for business customers.

Additionally, the company also expanded its services for a better customer experience with the introduction of the Rakuten SAIKYO Plan. This service offers customers uncapped high-speed data in network areas nationwide with 99.9% 4G population coverage that includes both Rakuten network and domestic network partners.

The beta version of Rakuten Link Desktop has been available since August 2023 and lets users enjoy the Rakuten Link features on their computers.

Rakuten will continue to work to improve the quality of communication it offers and expand its service offerings so that consumers can enjoy pleasant and convenient communication services wherever they are.
