XL Axiata has partnered with Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED) in Purwokerto to improve digital education and smart campus solutions. The initiative, which is being supported by XL Axiata Business Solutions (XLABS), intends to develop an innovative digital learning environment centered on the Faculty of Medicine.

"The company sees that the ecosystem that drives digitalization needs to be supported to accelerate, including through the education sector. Not only by supporting but also by providing the tools. These students need to be familiarized with a learning ecosystem that can encourage the improvement of their capabilities later. They need to be prepared to become quality human resources and be able to compete even in the global world,” said Feby Sallyanto, chief enterprise business officer, XL Axiata.

Mr. Sallyanto also emphasized the importance of digital talent in creating the digital ecosystem. The collaboration is expected to inspire students to actively build abilities that are in line with the expectations of a technologically driven future.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Dr. M. Mukhlis Rudi Prihatno, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership, saying, "We from the Faculty of Medicine of UNSOED welcome this collaboration. We hope this collaboration can improve the quality of the learning process, especially those based on information technology. Hopefully, students can access information more easily, of course, to improve the qualifications and competencies they must have as future medical personnel."

XLABS will create and enhance existing UNSOED technologies over a five-year period. The scope includes a variety of services, such as Learning Management System Solutions, as well as tablets, data packages and infrastructure support. The company will also provide a secure internet connection with a firewall and bandwidth monitoring, enhancing security for the Faculty of Medicine's digital learning activities.

As Indonesia prepares for the evolution of the 5G network, XL Axiata hopes that these improvements will result in sophisticated solutions that efficiently answer the complicated demands of the industrial landscape that requires high transmission speeds.
