Indonesia's newly established Telecommunication Equipment Testing Center (BBPPT) has chosen Spirent Communications technology to carry out high-speed Ethernet network equipment and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing.

Spirent's local partner for this project is Unitronic Jaya, an electronics company based in Bandung.
The BBPPT, located in Tapos, Depok, West Java, is currently being developed by Indonesia's Communication and Information Ministry. Its main objective is to protect and ensure the quality of telecommunications equipment. Additionally, it aims to guarantee that tools and devices used in Indonesia meet the high technical standards required by future communication networks.
By the end of this year, the state-of-the-art laboratory will be completed and will commence operations in early 2024. It will be one of the most advanced testing centers in Asia, featuring six laboratories equipped with cutting-edge technology. This will provide a top-notch testing environment for next-generation communication equipment.
