EdgePoint Towers, a subsidiary of EdgePoint Infrastructure has successfully deployed 15,000 towers across its three primary markets: Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The 15,000th tower was recently completed in Karang Wareng, a district located in Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia.

Suresh Sidhu, Chief Executive Officer of EdgePoint Infrastructure, highlighted the importance of the widespread tower deployment in connecting the countries in Southeast Asia. He also shared that the establishment of the towers took just three and a half years.

“This reflects our dedication to providing the best infrastructure throughout ASEAN and creating equitable access to connectivity for all,” said Sidhu.

EdgePoint Infrastructure, founded in 2020, initially launched in Malaysia and quickly spread to Indonesia and the Philippines in the following years. By partnering with major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and establishing alliances with non-MNO consumers, EdgePoint has successfully enabled uninterrupted connectivity across various terrains.

Meanwhile, Raymond Yan, Chief Executive Officer of PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk, emphasized the importance of bridging the digital divide across Indonesia's extensive archipelago. The establishment of these towers showcases the company’s commitment to ensuring that connectivity will reach Indonesia’s underserved areas.

In the Philippines, William Walters, Chief Executive Officer of EdgePoint Philippines, noted the importance of connectivity in nation-building and reflected on how this milestone would allow reliable connectivity in the remotest parts of the country.

Aside from expanding its reach, EdgePoint has prioritized sustainability by establishing solar sites in the Philippines and making a commitment to reaching net-zero emissions throughout its whole portfolio.
