Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced that Malaysia-based drone solutions provider, Aerodyne, is using AWS to run its DRONOS software as a service (SaaS) platform. DRONOS helps drone operators worldwide by allowing them to analyze and make sense of drone data to optimize operations and conduct aerial inspections.
Automating Drone Data Analysis
Aerodyne is storing and processing drone data on AWS using Amazon S3 and using Amazon SageMaker for automated analysis on mobile phone towers and farm fields. By automating drone data analysis on AWS, Aerodyne has significantly reduced labor time for cellular tower inspections and increased crop yields in agriculture.
The company plans to expand the availability of its agriculture platform, Agrimor, to other countries in the future. Aerodyne has also leveraged machine learning on AWS to deploy 5G antennae faster and reduce operational costs for customers. In addition, the company plans to use AWS's generative AI capabilities to build a large language model for planning drone flights and visualizing drone data.
In the energy industry, Aerodyne's drone SaaS conducts inspections to detect issues and reduce maintenance costs.
