A partnership has been announced to develop advanced data centers in India that can meet the infrastructure needs of businesses and digital service companies. Digital Realty, a global provider of data center solutions, will form a joint venture with Brookfield Infrastructure and Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), a multinational conglomerate in India.

The joint venture, called Digital Connexion: A Brookfield, Jio and Digital Realty Company, will be owned equally by the three partners. The initial focus of the joint venture will be on developing data center campuses in Chennai and Mumbai.

The data centers will benefit from Digital Realty's energy-efficient platform and global customer relationships, as well as Brookfield's expertise in the Indian infrastructure market and Jio's extensive digital and connectivity ecosystem. Jio's network, which covers almost the entire Indian population, will enhance the connectivity of the data centers and expand the reach of Digital Realty's global data center platform, PlatformDIGITAL.

This partnership will provide customers with access to a wide range of partners, solutions and services in India.
