Nutanix, a leader in hybrid multi-cloud computing, has announced that the Yogyakarta City Communication, Informatics and Encryption Office (Diskominfosan) has utilized the Nutanix Cloud Platform to integrate all 229 government applications onto the Jogja Smart Service (JSS) platform. This integration has resulted in improved delivery and transparency of public services for over 217,000 JSS users.

By adopting a DevOps model using Microservices and Kubernetes on the Nutanix Kubernetes Engine, Diskominfosan achieved increased efficiency, flexibility and collaboration. The elimination of silos between teams led to a significant reduction in application response time, with responses now taking less than five seconds. Additionally, the implementation of Nutanix resulted in an 80% reduction in IT man-hours and a 50% decrease in overall IT operating costs. With most systems now automated, the team can allocate their time and resources more effectively. Nutanix also ensures that JSS information and services are available 24/7, even during peak usage periods, without concerns about infrastructure reliability.
The head of the Yogyakarta City Communication, Informatics and Encryption Office, Ignatius Trihastono, stated that Nutanix's scalability and efficiency are crucial for their overall plan and blue map. They hope that the JSS application and the Yogyakarta City Smart City program can serve as an example for the implementation of e-government in accordance with regulations.
