ZTE Corporation, a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, announced today its partnership with Wind Tre and Open Fiber, the largest mobile operator in Italy and Italy’s wholesale fiber network operator respectively, to build Europe's first 5G pre-commercial network in the 3.6-3.8GHz band.

ZTE Corporation, a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, and Velcom, a branch of A1 Telekom Austria Group, jointly announced the deployment of the first scaled commercial Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) network in Belarus. The network was deployed in Minsk city first and then in other regions accordingly as scheduled. So far, Velcom has verified smart metering and smart city solutions in the network.

Nokia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with St Luke's Eldercare (SLEC) to co-develop and conceptualize innovative solutions for the elderly. As part of the MoU, Nokia and SLEC are trialing Asia's first fall prediction video analytics application.

Singapore ride-hailing firm Grab has announced that it will launch an e-wallet in a bid to expand its services beyond the transportation sector. Grab, founded by Anthony Tan and Tan Hooi Ling has enjoyed incredible success since its inception in 2012, and its services are available in 30 cities across six countries in Asia.

State-owned Indian Railways has announced that it is set to expand its agreement with Indian solar energy company Azure Power to extend the ‘electrification’ of the country’s railways. The government-controlled public transportation firm has agreed a deal with Azure Power to introduce an additional 20 MWs of solar rooftop projects.
