NTT DATA has entered a strategic partnership with Databricks Inc., to strengthen its artificial intelligence (AI) and data platform offerings.
The collaboration will enable NTT DATA to leverage Databricks' unified platform, which integrates data, conventional AI and generative AI (GenAI) capabilities. By incorporating lightweight large language models (LLMs), NTT DATA plans to develop AI agents with enhanced human-like task execution.
As part of the agreement, NTT DATA will implement a specialized training program from Databricks to expand its pool of engineers skilled in the Data Intelligence Platform to 500 by the fiscal year 2027. The partnership also seeks to streamline business development processes, improve client proposal strategies, and drive joint sales efforts.
Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform is a unified, open system that merges the capabilities of data warehouses and data lakes to enhance data and AI utilization. Designed to handle massive petabyte-scale datasets, the platform enables real-time AI inference while streamlining data management and machine learning (ML) workflows. This empowers businesses to efficiently harness diverse data sources using AI and business intelligence (BI) tools.
With a goal of reaching USD 200 million in Databricks-related revenue over the next five years, NTT DATA is committed to advancing the "democratization of data and AI" by combining its expertise with Databricks’ innovative solutions.
