Nokia upgrades True's fixed and mobile networks
Nokia has revealed that Thai fixed and mobile network operator, True Group, has deployed Nokia's IP/MPLS routing technology to upgrade its broadband infrastructure in Bangkok in an upgrade that was completed in May 2016.

NorthTelecom awards antenna contract to ASC Signal Division of CPI for Asia Pacific region
The ASC Signal Division of Communications and Power Industries LLC (CPI) has been awarded a contract for four 7.6m C and Ku-band capable antenna from NorthTelecom. The antenna will be installed at one of the company's teleports with an emphasis on enhancing its offerings to a range of vertical sectors in the Asia-Pacific region. According to ASC Signal, the four antennas will incorporate ASC's Next Generation Controller (NGC). The award includes training services for the NGC controller.
Singtel Optus and Nokia to collaborate on 5G in Australia
Singtel's Australian subsidiary, Optus, has signed a MoU with Nokia to collaborate on the development of 5G, initially through a trial using Optus spectrum in the 3.5GHz band. The two say they will trial an early 5G prototype in the band '” whch has been globally harmonized by the ITU '” in Australia in 2017.
